The Combat B cases are made from  316L Surgical grade stainless steel. We use forged construction to re-align the metal grain structure to increase fatigue strength by 37% over a typical cast steel case. This also eliminates voids and porosity in the metal, allowing for the finest possible finishing level.

A heat treatment is done to improve the stability of the metal during the forging process and to harden the metal surface after finishing.

Bead blast finish creates micro work hardened surface to improve scratch and ding resistance by 8-10% over brushed or polished finishes. It leaves a perfectly flawless smooth satin finish. We add a physical vapor deposited anti-fingerprint coating to fill any microscopic pores from the bead blasting in and leave an even smoother finish that prevents oily smudges and fingerprints on the case.

The thick, slightly domed, Hytrel mounted sapphire creates a wider angle reflection which makes the dial easier to see without harsh reflection. Clarity is further enhanced by the military grade anti-reflective DLC coating applied to the inside of the sapphire. 

Silicone lubricated, double Viton gasket seals are in the crown and the tightly sealed, threaded caseback to resist saltwater, chemicals and extreme hot and cold environments. Our sealing system has been improved by over 200% since our original Combat B1 model and tested to exceed our 200 meter depth rating by 30% ensuring complete sealing in not only water depths but in all environments.

The case is designed with lugs that curve downward, wrapping around your wrist. The 51.5mm lug length may sound long but this length is from the steep downward curve, they will wrap even a very small wrist without feeling large on the wrist, wearing more like a 46-47mm lug length effectively. This is one of the reasons our Combat B case is so well loved by thousands of owners around the world. Extreme comfort. You can barely feel it on the wrist. 

Our anti-shock movement mounting system allows the movement to absorb impacts ensuring reliability remains even after an accidental drop on the ground or a solid bang against a wall.

Two custom grade, thick nylon straps are included. The strap is looped through both sides to ensure the watch is not lost if a springbar becomes damaged. Our nylon straps are much more durable than typical straps of this type. Designed to be easy to re-size and fit just about any wrist with high comfort and a nearly weightless feel. 

The dial is printed with over 30 layers of top grade Super-Luminova material over a chemical coated, reflective base. This ensures maximum performance of the dial in dark conditions by forcing all luminous output of the material to face out the front of the watch and not lost back into the dial from the backside. Our dials have been tested and verified by RcTritec in Switzerland to be top performers of the Super-Luminova material.
